How to get admission in Lower TCV School....

The primary objective of TCV will be to take care of the orphans and the destitute, due recognition is also given to parents who can meet the education cost of their children. This is intended to contribute towards greater self-sufficiency. We encourage and invite especially those who are unable to enroll their children in a Tibetan School. However, admission under this category will be strictly based on vacancies available each year but In LowerTCV due recognition is given only to parents who can meet the education cost of their children .The Procedure is as follows:

  1. Application for admission is accepted only in the prescribed form. This is available from the admission office of the TCV Head Office in the month of September every year.
  2. The TCV Admission Committee receives application in the prescribed form from September to November every year of screening.
  3. Confirmation/rejection notifications are send out normally in January every year.
  4. Fees are charged for 12 months of the year.

The children on full fees are given education up to the school level. Thereafter,the parents are responsible for their further education and training.

     Day - Scholar Admission Process:
  • Day-scholar Admission are against availability for vacancies in the school.
  • The day scholars should pay school fees as per the school rule.
  • Education is given up to the school level. Thereafter, the parents are responsible for the further education and training.

NOTE: In accordance with TCV academic policy, If children due to age, ability and aptitude are unable to continue studies at any stage of schooling, they will be suitably guided into vocational training. If parents have no wish to send their children to such training, they may withdraw their child/children.

Information regarding school fees . .

Admission in TCV School Lower Dharamsala is based on fees from parents. The monthly fee for a child is fixed during the annual MDC meeting.

At present per child fees for a month is as follow:

Pupil Type Fees/per month
Boarding Rs. 1200
Computer* Rs. 600 (per annum)
Day Scholar Rs. 500

* The computer fee should be paid by all the student from class iii to x.
The mode of school fee payment can be done in two installment. Payment of the 1st Installment is on 31st march and the 2nd installment is on 30th sept every year.

Late Fee:
Parents who do not pay their children fee in the fixed date will be fine for late fee. The description of late fee is as follows

  1. 7 % for one installment
  2. 15 % for full fee.
NOTE:

Our school has carried out a series of activities as a tribute to our beloved leader and also to accumulate virtues, our staff members and students have lend their helping hand to gather materials needed for the construction of Jangchup Choetan in our school campus which is now complete and we thank all the supporters and donors who have made this project accomplished.

School Cultural Competition 2007..
The main aim of incorporating Dance & Music in the school curriculum is to preserve and promote our distinct Tibetan culture. So the students get a flavour and knowledge of our traditional dance and music through the Inter house Cultural Competition which is being conducted every year by our school and the winner of this years contest was Drichu house --"house colour is blue"
